How to remove the front bumper
- open the hood.
- we turn the wheels depending on which side to disassemble.
- (if any) in the wheel arches, unscrew the screws that attach the fenders to the bumper.
- in the front part, below the headlights, remove the decorative grilles.
- under the grilles, we unscrew two bolts (twisted from the bottom up) that attach the brackets to the amplifier. If these bolts do not unscrew, you can unscrew the brackets from the body (bolts are indicated by blue arrows).
- we release the latches in the wings (with an effort we pull the corners down and towards ourselves).
- we pull the bumper forward (we look for wires and hoses).
- disconnect the fog lamp connectors (if any).
- disconnect the headlight washer hoses (if any).
How to remove the rear bumper
- (if any) in the wheel arches, unscrew the screws that secure the fenders (rear part).
- open the trunk lid.
- lift the floor covering of the luggage compartment.
- we unscrew the four long bolts (twisted from top to bottom) that attach the brackets to the body.
- we release the sides from the side latches in the wings (you need to take the corner and apply force to push down and pull on yourself).
- with an assistant, we gently pull the bumper back.
If the bolts in the trunk do not loosen for some reason, you can unscrew the brackets from the aluminum bumper booster (bolts are indicated by blue arrows). It's not exactly convenient, but it's possible.
