How to remove the front bumper
- open the hood.
- under the hood, unscrew the four screws and remove the plastic cover.
- under the cover plate, unscrew the two screws that secure the upper part of the front bumper.
- on the bottom side, we unscrew two quick-release screws and three torx screws, which attach the lower part to the protection and fenders.
- we turn the wheels to the side (it will be more convenient if the wheels are removed).
- in the wheel arches, we unscrew two screws on each side, which fasten the fenders (front part).
- in the inner part of the wings, approximately under the edge of the headlights, unscrew one screw on each side. There are two ways to approach these problems. Either unscrew the eight screws and remove the headlights, then unscrew these screws through the openings of the headlights (note that when installing the headlights back, you need to attach the rubber tube from the headlight body to the fitting on the body, otherwise the headlights will sweat. Or move the fenders to the side and unscrew these screws through the wheel arches (you will need a cap head with a long collar).
- release the latches in the wings (pull the corners towards you).
- with an assistant, we pull the bumper forward (we look so as not to break the wires).
- disconnect the connectors of electrical equipment.
How to remove the rear bumper
- open the trunk lid.
- in the trunk, we release the covers in the side panels (you need to get access to the inside of the wings).
- in the inner part of the wings, unscrew one fixing screw on each side (with a plastic cap in the form of a square) and remove the taillights.
- also from the trunk, through the holes in the body, unscrew two nuts (you will need a cap head with a collar, do not drop the nuts into the hidden cavity).
- under the taillights, we pull out two fixing fingers (you need to pry them with a flat screwdriver and pull them up), which attach the upper part of the rear bumper.
- on the bottom side, we unscrew the four screws (twisted from bottom to top) that secure the lower part.
- in the wheel arches, we unscrew three screws on each side, which fasten the fenders (rear part).
- release the latches in the fenders (pull the corners of the bumper towards you).
- with an assistant, we gently pull the bumper back (we look at the wires).
- disconnect the parking sensor connectors (if any).
