How to remove the front bumper
- open the hood.
- under the hood, we unscrew seven screws (two screws are hidden under the plastic cover) that secure the upper part of the front bumper.
- on the bottom side, release the three quick-release pins and unscrew the two screws.
- turn the wheels to the side.
- in the wheel arches, unscrew the screws and release the fenders (front part).
- next, you need to unscrew six nuts in the wings.
The first method: through the wheel arches with a head (10 mm) with a long collar, we unscrew three nuts on each side, which attach the sides to the wings. It will be very inconvenient.
The second method: we unscrew four screws on each side (twisted from top to bottom) and pull out the headlights (the lower screws under the bumper are attached not to the headlights, but to the guides from which the headlights just need to be pulled off. We unscrew the nuts in the wings through the openings of the headlights.
- release the latches in the wings (pull the corners towards you).
- with an assistant, we pull off the bumper in front (we look for wires and hoses).
- disconnect the connectors of electrical equipment.
- disconnect the headlight washer hoses (liquid may leak from the tank).
How to remove the rear bumper
- open the trunk lid.
- in the side panels of the trunk, we open the covers.
- from the trunk, below the taillights, unscrew one nut on each side.
- in the inner part of the wings there are mounting strips. We find plastic hexagon screws on them and twist them until the bumper mounting fingers are released. The instructions say "make a few turns", but in fact you need to make a lot of turns.
- on the bottom side, unscrew the screws (twisted from the bottom up) that secure the lower part.
- in the wheel arches, we unscrew three screws on each side, which fasten the fenders.
- release the latches in the wings (pull the corners towards you).
- with an assistant, we carefully pull the bumper back (we look so as not to scratch the paint with fixing fingers and not break the wires).
- disconnect the parking sensor connectors (if any).
