How to remove the front bumper
- open the hood.
- remove the decorative grilles near the fog lights.
- under the grilles, we unscrew two long bolts (twisted from the bottom up) that attach the aluminum amplifier to the body. If the faces on the bolts are torn off, you can unscrew the six nuts (bolts) (indicated in the diagram by blue arrows) that attach the brackets to the body. It's not exactly convenient, but it's possible.
- release five quick-release screws from the bottom side.
- with an assistant, we pull the bumper in front of the holders in the wings (we look for wires and hoses).
- disconnect the connectors of electrical equipment.
- disconnect the headlight washer hoses (liquid may leak from the tank).
How to remove the rear bumper
- open the trunk lid.
- let's get under the car.
- on the bottom side, between the bumper and the body, we unscrew two long bolts (twisted from the bottom up) that attach the aluminum amplifier to the brackets. If these bolts are rusted or the edges are torn off, then you can unscrew the six bolts (maybe nuts) that attach the brackets to the body (marked with blue arrows on the diagram), they are not easy to get close to, but it is possible.
- with an assistant, we carefully pull the bumper back from the holders in the wings(we look for wires).
- disconnect the parking sensor connectors (if any).
