Depending on the year of manufacture and body type, the mounting points differ slightly.
How to remove the front bumper
- open the hood.
- under the hood, unscrew the six screws and pull out two clips (note that one clip is hidden under the air intake).
- on the bottom side, we unscrew six screws and pull out two clips that attach the lower lining and fenders (twisted and inserted from the bottom up).
- we bend the edge of the lower lining and unscrew two more whips and pull out two clips.
- turn the wheels to the side.
- in the wheel arches, we pull out three clips on each side, which fasten the fenders (front part).
- we bend the fenders to the side and unscrew one screw on each side (twisted from the bottom up), which fix the corners to the brackets in the wings.
- we release the latches in the wings (we take the corner and pull it with a jerk).
- with an assistant, we remove the front bumper forward (we look behind the wires)
- connectors for fog lights (if available).
How to remove the rear bumper
- open the trunk lid.
- (Sedan) from the trunk, unscrew three nuts on each side and remove the taillights.
- in the trunk opening, we unscrew the four screws that secure the upper part of the rear bumper.
- on the bottom side, unscrew the four screws and pull out two clips (twisted and inserted from the bottom up, which fix the lower part).
- in the wheel arches, we pull out the clips that attach the fenders.
- behind the fenders, we unscrew one screw on each side, which fix the corners to the brackets in the wings,
- we release the latches in the wings (we take the corner and pull it with a jerk).
- with the assistant, we remove the bumper back (we look behind the wires).
- disconnect the connectors of the parking assistant and lighting devices (if any).
