Depending on the year of manufacture and body type, the mounting points differ slightly.
How to remove the front bumper
- lift up and fix the hood.
- unscrew the two screws that secure the air intake (one clip is hidden under the air intake).
- unscrew the four screws and pull out the seven clips (twisted and inserted from top to bottom) that secure the upper part of the front bumper (radiator grille).
- from the bottom side, unscrew ten screws and pull out two clips (twisted and inserted from the bottom up), which fasten the fenders and the lower lining.
- we turn the front part of the wheels into the inner part of the arch.
- in the wheel arches, we pull out three clips on each side, which fasten the fenders (front part).
- we move the fenders to the side and unscrew one bolt on each side (8 mm, twisted from bottom to top), which fix the corners to the wings.
- we release the latches in the wings (we take the corner and pull it towards us).
- with the assistant, we remove the front bumper forward (it is held on the guide elements indicated by the red circle in the picture).
- release the connectors of electronic components (if any).
How to remove the rear bumper
In the hatchback and sedan bodies, the bumpers are attached in the same way.
- open the trunk lid.
- we unscrew two screws in the trunk opening.
- in the trunk, we release the edges of the linings (you need to get access to the rear of the taillights).
- behind the side linings, unscrew three nuts on each side, release the electrical connectors and remove the rear lights (please note that the lights are held on plastic clips in the wings, you need to pull exactly back).
- under the taillights, we unscrew one screw on each side that secures the upper part of the rear bumper.
- on the bottom side, we unscrew six screws (twisted from the bottom up), which fasten the lower part.
- (it will be more convenient if you remove the wheels or lift the rear part of the car) in the wheel arches, unscrew the screws that attach the mudguards and fenders and pull out one clip on each side.
- we take the fenders to the side and unscrew one screw on each side, which fix the sides of the bumper.
- release the latches in the wings (pull the corners towards you).
- (we need two people) remove the bumper back (we look behind the wires).
- disconnect the connectors of electrical equipment.
