Depending on the year of manufacture and body type, the mounting points differ slightly.
How to remove the front bumper
- open the hood.
- under the hood, we unscrew four (maybe three) screws that secure the radiator grille.
- we remove the radiator grille (it is held on latches, you need to take it by the bottom and pull it towards you).
- 2014-2019 year under the radiator grille, the upper part of the bumper is held on latches (indicated by blue arrows), 2019-2023 year under the grille is screwed on four screws (twisted from top to bottom).
- we unscrew the nine screws (twisted from bottom to top) that secure the lower part.
- we turn the wheels to the inside (depending on the side that we will disassemble).
- we unscrew six screws (three on each side) in the wheel arches that attach the slats.
- we move the fenders to the side and unscrew one screw on each side (twisted from bottom to top), which fix the corners of the bumper to the wings.
- release the latches in the wings (pull the corners towards you).
- release the latches under the radiator grille (unscrew the screws).
- with an assistant, we remove the bumper forward (we look for wires and hoses).
- disconnect the connectors of the camera, parking sensors and fog lights (if any).
- disconnect the headlight washer hoses from the tank (please note that the liquid will start to flow out).
How to remove the rear bumper
The Sedan and wagon are mounted almost identically.
- open the trunk lid (door).
- we open hatches in the side panels of the trunk.
- behind the hatches, we unscrew one plastic fixing screw on each side and remove the taillights (there are no screws under the taillights, but the latches are very tight and can be damaged. Therefore, it is better to remove the lights).
- in the wheel arches, we unscrew three screws on each side, which fasten the fenders (rear part).
- we move the fenders to the side and unscrew one screw on each side (twisted from bottom to top), which fix the corners to the wings.
- on the bottom side, unscrew the four screws and pull out the three spacer pistons (twisted and inserted from the bottom up).
- release the latches in the wings (indicated by blue arrows, pull the corners towards you).
- release the latches under the taillights and in the trunk opening (indicated by blue arrows).
- with the assistant, we remove the bumper back (we look behind the wires).
- disconnect the electrical equipment connectors (if any).
