Depending on the year of manufacture and body type, the mounting points differ.
How to remove the front bumper
9N 2001-2005
- open the hood.
- under the hood, unscrew two screws, release the latches (indicated by blue arrows) and remove the radiator grille.
- under the radiator grille, unscrew the three screws (twisted from top to bottom).
- remove the decorative pads in the opening of the fog lights (you need to release the latches indicated by the blue arrows and pull them towards you).
- we unscrew two screws under the pads.
- on the bottom side, unscrew the four screws and pull out the four pistons that secure the lower part.
- turn the wheels to the side.
- in the wheel arches, we unscrew four screws on each side, which fasten the sides and fenders.
- release the latches in the fenders and under the hood.
- with the assistant, we remove the bumper forward (we look behind the wires).
- disconnect the electrical equipment connectors (if any).
9N3 facelift 2005-2010
- under the hood, unscrew the four screws that secure the upper part of the front bumper and through the holes in the bumper, unscrew the four screws that secure the radiator grille.
- through the front part, use a flat screwdriver to release the four latches (indicated by blue arrows) and remove the radiator grille (pull on yourself).
- under the grill, unscrew two screws (twisted from top to bottom).
- on the bottom side, unscrew the four screws and pull out the four pistons that secure the lower part.
- turn the wheels to the side.
- in the wheel arches, we unscrew four screws on each side, which fasten the fenders.
- we unscrew one screw on each side (twisted from the bottom up, which fix the corners to the wings.
- release the latches in the fenders and behind the fog lamp openings (indicated in the picture by blue arrows).
- with the assistant, we remove the bumper forward (we look behind the wires).
- disconnect the electrical equipment connectors (if any).
How to remove the rear bumper
- open the trunk lid.
- we open hatches in the side panels of the trunk.
- under the hatches, unscrew the retainers and remove the taillights.
- under the taillights, we unscrew two screws on each side (twisted from top to bottom), which fasten the upper part of the rear bumper.
- in the wheel arches, we unscrew four screws on each side, which fasten the fenders (rear part) and sides.
- on the bottom side, we unscrew the four screws (twisted from bottom to top) that secure the lower part.
- release the latches in the wings.
- with the assistant, we remove the bumper back (we look so as not to break the wires).
- disconnect the license plate light connectors.
