How to remove the front bumper
- open the hood.
- under the hood, near the headlights, we unscrew two bolts (12 mm) that attach the upper part of the front bumper and the amplifier to the body.
- before the radiator, disconnect the hoses of the headlight washing system.
- on the sides of the lower part, we pull out two pistons (inserted from the bottom up).
- we release the sides from the latches in the wings and in front of the wheel arch extensions (you will need a plastic tool to remove the pistons or a flat screwdriver wrapped in electrical tape, you need to pry the corner and pull it towards you).
- with the assistant, we remove the bumper forward (pay attention to the wires).
- disconnect the connectors of fog lights and sensors (if any).
How to remove the rear bumper
- open the trunk lid.
- under the rear lights, remove the pads (they are held on the latches, you need to pry and pull on yourself).
- remove two metal rivets from the bottom side (you need a drill and a 6 mm drill bit).
- lift the trunk floor trim.
- remove the battery pack and disconnect the common parking sensor connector on the left side .
- through the holes in the rear panel of the trunk, unscrew four nuts (you will need a cap head with an extension cord, do not drop the nuts into the hidden cavity).
- we release the sides from the latches in the wings and behind the wheel arch extensions (you will need a plastic tool to remove the pistons or a flat screwdriver wrapped in electrical tape, you need to pry the corner and pull on yourself. Be careful not to scratch the paint).
- release the latches under the taillights.
- with the assistant, we remove the bumper back (we look so as not to break the wires).
- disconnect the connector from the reflector and pull out the wiring harness from the body.
