How to remove the front bumper
- open the hood.
- release the retainers (indicated in the diagram by blue arrows) and remove the radiator grille (four upper retainers need to be pressed down, two lower retainers need to be pressed up).
- release the retainers and remove the headlights.
- under the grille and headlights, we unscrew six bolts (twisted from top to bottom) that secure the upper part of the front bumper and in the inner part of the wings, we unscrew one screw on each side that fasten the wheel arch extensions.
- on the bottom side, we unscrew six screws (twisted from the bottom up).
- in the wheel arches, we unscrew three screws each and pull out three pistons that attach the fenders and wheel arch extensions.
- remove the wheel arch extensions (just pull them on).
- we unscrew one screw on each side, which fix the corners to the wings.
- disconnect the fog lamp connectors and disconnect the headlight washer hoses.
- with the assistant we remove the bumper forward.
How to remove the rear bumper
- open the trunk lid.
- we unscrew two screws on each side, release them from the retainers and remove the taillights.
- under the taillights, we unscrew one screw on each side.
- under the left taillight, disconnect the parking assistant connectors.
- in the trunk opening, pull out four pistons (inserted from top to bottom).
- on the bottom side, we unscrew six screws (twisted from the bottom up).
- in the wheel arches, we unscrew two screws and pull out two pistons on each side, which attach the wheel arch extensions.
- we remove the expanders of the wheel arches (they are held on the latches, we pull them towards us) and pull out one piston on each side under them, which fasten the corners to the wings.
- with an assistant, we release the latches in the wings and remove the bumper back.
