Depending on the year of manufacture, the mounting points are slightly different.
How to remove the front bumper
- open and fix the hood.
- we pull out nine pistons (you need to press on the pin, then pull out the piston), which attach the upper part of the front bumper.
- on the bottom side, unscrew two screws and pull out three pistons (to pull out the piston, you need to squeeze two antennae inside the cap. Pistons can be hidden by an overlay).
- turn the wheels to the side.
- in the wheel arches, we unscrew six screws on each side (TORX), which fasten the fenders (front part).
- we release the sides from the latches in the wings (we take the corner and pull it towards us).
- with the assistant, we remove the bumper forward (pay attention to the wires and hoses).
- disconnect the electrical connectors (usually a common connector behind the right fender).
- if the headlight cleaning system is installed, disconnect the common hose (please note that liquid will flow out of the hose).
How to remove the rear bumper
- open the trunk lid.
- in the trunk opening, we unscrew the thrust shock absorbers.
- on the bottom side, we unscrew two plastic nuts ( after 2013, instead of nuts, there will be four screws that are twisted from the bottom up).
- (on the left and right sides) in the wheel arches, unscrew the five screws that secure the fenders (rear part).
- release the latches in the wings (pull the corners towards you with a jerk).
- release the latches under the taillights (pull them towards you with a jerk).
- with the assistant, we remove the bumper back (we look behind the wires).
- disconnect the connectors of electrical equipment.
